BlueSky Electric Co. is a Union Electrical Contracting company that was founded in June 2016 as a Residential focused Electrical Contractor (part-time) with a long term plan of incorporating Solar PV and EV Charging Stations into it's business portfolio. Now, after launching full-time in April 2018 BlueSky Electric has expanded it's reach into the commercial market with a focus on Energy Efficiency, Solar PV, and EV charging stations.

Billy Parsons

Owner/Operator and Master Electrician Billy Parsons has worked in the electrical industry since 2005 after receiving his degree as a Construction Electrician from Anoka Technical College.  From there, he joined IBEW Local 292 as an Apprentice Electrician and received his Class A Journeyman’s license in 2009.  In 2011 Billy received his Class A Master Electrician’s license and in 2015 graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University.

As an Electrician, Billy worked on projects ranging from multi-tenant residential to Target Field Stadium to the University of Minnesota Nanotechnology building.  In 2014, Billy moved from the field to the office and worked as an estimator, and project manager before opening the doors full time to BlueSky Electric Co.  

Billy was the 42nd person in the state of Minnesota to become North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certified.  He completed the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) 3.0 . Billy has completed 348 hours of continuing education since 2008—over 4x the amount required as a licensed Journeyman Electrician.
